Puppy Updates

 This page is updated weekly to keep the new owners informed of the changes and activities that are going on with the pups. It is intended to help the new owners keep track of how their pup is doing and watch as they progress until they are ready to join their new families. Hopefully it helps you get to know your puppy somewhat before he comes home. Be assurred your puppy is loved and will come to you pre-spoiled and very  socialized to children, people and other pets. 

   Today  6/24/2025 Sammy had her litter.  There are 4 big

beautiful babies. There are 2 girls and 2 boys. Mom and babies are doing fantastic! 

    Today 6/26 the pups went for their first vet exam and to have their tails docked and dew claws removed. The vet commented how strong and healthy they are. All passed with flying colors, but they were all glad to get back home to Mom

    Today  7/1 the pups are already a week old. They are quickly gaining weight, I usually don't weigh them until they are 2 weeks old but I was curious.  The boys each weighed 2.4# and the girls around 2#.  This is usually the 2 week weights..they are some healthy, strong babies.

     Today  7/8 the babies are 2 weeks old and getting big quick!  Louie (#2 boy) weighs 4#  the other boy #4 weighs 3.12#  and the girls weigh 3.8# and little girl Kona (#3) weighs 3#.  they are becoming more mobile and trying to stand and use their legs instead of doing the belly crawl to get around. Things happen quickly in the life of a puppy. Their eyes are open and by next week their ears should be open and they will start to interact with each other. I have posted their 2 week pictures with their eyes open now so you can see how fast they are growing. 

    Today 7/15 the pups are already 3 weeks old. Many things are happening in their young lives.  Their eyes are fully open and they can focus and are really becoming mobile. they also can hear now and are biginning to bark and growl at noises. I saw the 2 girl pups starting to interact and play with each other. They are all trying to walk and gain their balance on their little legs. Also their little teeth are coming in so next week the weaning process will begin. All the pups continue to gain weight and all weigh between 4 1/2- 5+ pounds. I will be posted new pictures next week and you will be surprised at how big they are getting.

      Today 7/22  Sammy's puppies are 4 weeks old. They are becoming more like little puppies every day. The girls are walking around and very steady on their feet, the boys are lazy and prefer to belly crawl..encouragement is given for them to use their legs and they are progressing. Puppies learn their skills at their own pace, they will soon figure out it is faster to walk and be running all over the place. They were started on the puppy gruel over the weekend and today have decided they might like it..lol. their little teeth are coming in so Mom is not nursing them as much. She is spending more time away from them and they are learning to play and interact with each other. It is fun to watch them bark and growl at each other. They are also playing and chewing on their toys. They are exploring their new world and and learning what puppy life is about.

     Today  7/29 the puppies are 5 weeks old. They are growing  fast. They all weigh around 8# now. Today was a big day for the pups as they graduated from the puppy food gruel th whole kibble (soaked in warm milk) until they've mastered the art of chewing their food.  They need to get used to drinking water from the bowl and the weaning process will be complete. They are very good about using their puppy pads. Mom no longer sleeps with them aat night and they do well. All these things are preparing them to join their new families and to be the best pups they can be. New 6 week pictures will be posted next week and they will receive their first puppy vaccines. 

     Today 8/5 Sammy's pups are 6 weeks old. It seems like the time has flown by so fast. All the pups weigh between 10-11 lbs. They are eating solid puppy kibble and drinking water like Champs. Today they received their 1st puppy vaccines. I wanted to take some pictures of them outside for the first time today, but it was raining. I will try to get some tomorrow.  It won't be long now they will be coming home to you!

     Today 8/12 the pups are 7 weeks old. One of the pups Louie already joined his new family this past weekend and the rest of the pups will be joining their families this coming weekend.  I want to thank all the new families for loving my pups enough to make them a part of your families. This litter is especially special to me since it will be my last. Thank you to all the wonderful people that have adopted puppies from me over the years and have become special friends to me.
